The Avener – music that carries you away
That touch to the thin strings of the soul … that impact that makes you vibrate at a different level … that transfer that happens to you magically and you fly elsewhere … I’m not talking about sex and orgasms, but about music. Are you surprised? 🙂
I can say, that this magical fly can be provoked by art – when you sink into it and leave yourself to its effect.
Yes, art has a variety of forms, but I want to share my attitude with a gorgeous musician whose music has captured and conquered me from the first moment I heard him, and he was able to capture my emotions and consciousness.
This is Tristan Kazara, known as The Avener – Frenchman, Aquarius, who soon will be 32 (on January 23).

In 2014 his remake of “Fade out line” of “The Fade Out Line,” a song by Phoebe Killdeer & The Short Straws, which had been released a few years earlier, became an absolute hit in Germany, Austria, Spain, and in the top 10 charts in Australia, France, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland … The sound is really wonderful, the rhythm relaxes, makes you smile, conquers. This piece unlocked my interest of The Avener’s work. I started to be more interested and listened to everything I could find. I was especially impressed by “Lonely Boy”:
I listened to it almost continuously, and then I was literally obsessed with “To Let Myself Go” . Etc. 🙂
Of course, I will not list all the work of Tristan Kazara – everyone can hear it and find it. I’m more excited about his talents, the ways he creates and expresses himself in music, and the music is an invaluable gift. The world without creativity would be gray, empty, poor …
I’m writing about The Avener because the music which he’s doing touches me and influences on me. This happens in a very special way. A wonderful way. While I am listening to his songs, I’m fading away and experiencing a lot of emotions – joy, happiness, power, tranquility, flying, sadness, nostalgia … It is similar to that special feeling, when you go back to your dear memory – on one hand it’s nice and good, but on the other it’s sad, because you come back to it, but you’re lucky that it happened …
The Avener’s work is multilayered and cannot be fixed in a single style, rather it crosses borders, blends and mixes different styles and their shades. Every style brings a different emotion and it is great to be transmitted through art. Tristan’s music mixes blues, jazz, folk, funk, house, pop, electronic instruments … You can feel with no doubt that he has a rich musical culture, a strong sense of music, and that he was really fond of piano in his childhood. The fact that he works with old songs makes me think that he is a person with deep sensuality and soul, that he is capable of respecting the things which had been already created before his time and that he can use it intelligently, creating something new and different based on the old material. The fact is that any progress is made this way in all spheres of life. This is what we call development.
Tristan Kazara creates music with special sophistication, a distinctly delicate touch that creates his own unique style. We all know, that this is the most complex and the greatest achievement – to be able to be unique in your own way. The fact is that when I hear his music – I just know it’s his. And this is the most precious things about it!
And this music touches my heart gently and I want to listen to it more and more and again and again …
